Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ will have a ‘fresh’ album, says music composer GV Prakash

Mumbai: Music composer GV Prakash Kumar said on Sunday that he had completed recording three songs for Hindi remake of award-winning Tamil hit ‘Soorarai Pottru’, featuring Akshay Kumar.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, the 2020 film was titled by Suriya. The Hindi remake, also directed by Kongara, will see Kumar reprising the role originally played by Suriya.
“Soorarai Pottru” recently won five national awards, including Best Feature Film, Best Actor for Suriya, Best Actress for Aparna Balamurali, Best Screenplay (Kongara and Shalini Ushadevi) and Best Background Music for Prakash. Kumar.
The composer previewed the upcoming film’s soundtrack and background music to fans on social media.
“I have finished recording three songs for #sooraraipottru remake in Hindi. Will be a completely fresh album with new tunes and songs. And the new bgscore… super loaded on that (sic),” he said. he writes on Twitter.

The film’s story was partly inspired by events in the life of Air Deccan’s founder, Captain GR Gopinath.
After the multiple national award for “Soorarai Pottru” on Friday, Kumar sent a congratulatory tweet to the film crew.
